I am glad that this website arouses your curiosity. From the beginning the trend topic camping - caravaning - motorhome has been driving me. For 40 years I have been accompanying it professionally. In this time camping has developed from the Cinderella of tourism to a boom. The vacation form of yesteryear, eternally misunderstood as the underdog, now shines as vanlife and glamping.

Classic cars & technics

Born into the economic miracle and mass motorization, I grew up with ‘Autoquartett’ card games and the ADAC battle cry "free ride for free citizens". When I was born, there weren't six million cars in Germany, but when I got my driver's license there were already three times that number - ridiculous compared to the 50 million or so that are registered in Germany today. There is no question that a change in mobility is needed. After a century of traffic jams and climate crises, combustion engine-driven private transport is collapsing. I am passionately dedicated to its appreciation as part of the history of technology. For 20 years I have been advocating classic cars as a technical cultural asset.

I am a member of the jury for the Dutch Automobile Club ANWB for the nominations of the shortlist of the annual public vote for "Campings van het Jaar"


I am a member of pincamp's Advisory Board for nominating the annual ADAC Camping Award nominees


I am the co-initiator of the European Union Erasmus program-funded master’s program “Sustainable Campground and Holiday Park Management”, the first academic master’s degree in the field of camping in Europe (jointly with the Universities of Breda (NL), Girona (E) and Rijeka (HR)), verifiable from 2023. www.camping-master.eu


I was head of department at promobil, press spokesman at Niesmann + Bischoff, I am an author for CARAVANING, I wrote camping guides for the Swiss publisher Hallwag, I was responsible for the German edition of the Dutch ACSI camping guide and for the last 15 years I was the managing director of the Leading Camping and Caravaning Parks of Europe e.V.
